SCAFP: The Voice of the Specialty
The SCAFP serves as the official voice of family physicians to the South Carolina Legislature and governmental agencies and maintains a close relationship with the South Carolina Medical Association and other medical specialties. The SCAFP protects, promotes and supports the right of family physicians to practice comprehensive medicine for which they have been trained. This legislative advocacy has established the Academy as a key player in the legislative arena.
Governmental Affairs
The SCAFP Board of Directors along with the SCAFP Committee on Legislative & Governmental Affairs review and discuss critical issues facing the specialty and the Academy.
The Family Doc PAC
The PAC Board is separate from the SCAFP
